My name is McKenna Lynn and I'm a 22 year old abstract minimalist based in Orlando, FL. I just make what I want to see. Most occasions I can see the image in my head before I put anything down. Artwork has always been an emotional outlet, but not necessarily to get my emotions out. I paint what I want to feel. Using specific colors and specific subject matter that will soothe my brain, and revive my spirit. The past 2 years I've been drawn to the color black, and the solidity of it. This color brings stability and strength into areas of life that are unclear. It is opaque and absolute. This phase of greyscale has been known as, "THE STONE AGE" and with the recent re-introduction of color, "PITCH BLACK."

My art is always supposed to make me happy. Whether that means soothing blues when I feel burned, strong black and white when I need stability, or pink when I want to feel light as a feather. I enjoy playing with postive and negative space, because finding balance is essential in my life. I like minimalism because I like mindfulness and simplicity. Above all, color is most important to me. I find that flat planes of color evoke strong emotions, and black outlines bring an absolute to the table.
